20-30 minutes of IXL practice of adding and subtracting with decimals. I will check tomorrow to see how you did. Follow the steps we used today. 3 columns. # of problem/ number correct/ number incorrect. Write it down wherever you like.

Math word problems work: You have two choices for doing this homework.

Here are the math problems:
1. 6 people shared 2/3 of a pie equally. What fraction of the pie did each person receive? (HINT: what is being shared? This tells you what to divide.)
2. Alejandro bought a pipe 4 m long. He cut it into equal pieces. Each piece was 2/5 m long. How many pieces were there? (HINT: what is being shared? This tells you what to divide.)
3. Imelda has 4/5 kg of jelly beans. She put them into bags of 1/10 kg each, to give to her friends. How many bags of jelly beans did she have?

“Well, someone let the secret out. Do we contact the President? He should know about this,” Ethan said.
“Not sure. Maybe the visitors are friendly and we have nothing to worry about,” added Charlie.
